At Grenadier Homes, every detail is designed with your life in mind – and the homebuilding industry has taken notice. On July 30, 2025, we added two more honors to our growing list of achievements – with repeat wins in Best Overall Interior Merchandising of a Model and Best Architectural Design at the Texas Association of Builders Star Awards. This year, we were proud to be nominated in four categories, standing out among hundreds of entries from across the Southwest. Both wins were for our Cottonwood Creek Villas community in Rowlett, Texas, which was released to the public late last fall.

The Who Behind the Wins
- The Design Department: Rather than using a “one-size-fits-all” technique for interior selections, our designers combine over 90 years of experience to create thoughtfully curated, hand-picked designs to make each space of a Grenadier home one-of-a-kind. What makes Grenadier’s interior design stand above the rest? “Painstaking deliberation and attention to detail,” said Kathy Costa, VP of Design. “It’s a collaboration between our five designers and three architects. Everything is in house – we outsource nothing.” This collaborative process leads to a throughline of concept, resulting in gorgeous homes and award recognition.
- The Architecture Team: The architects echoed this sense of cooperation in regards to the success of Grenadier’s architectural design: “We have learned to ‘play off’ one another in a way I have hardly experienced elsewhere,” said Craig Goursuch, Architectural Designer, who has been with Grenadier Homes since 2019. Though important to the structure, functionality, and integrity of a home, there is more to architecture than what meets the eye. As Goursuch noted, “Architecture sets the tone for the lives we build in the homes we choose.”
